Puppetry
Here are three mask that we had to design and sculpt out of clay then create a mould in PVA to be able to use on the puppet in the show. The mask help express how the puppet change through out the play and how he was meant to act.
These images show pages on the ideas to describe and design the three emotions.
These elements were the most important part to our play as the whole story revolved around the puppet exploring these emotions.
We had to design certain movements for the puppet which the puppeteers could easily re create and capture a human like reaction within the puppet.
I drawn human body in parts for me to be able to use as reference when sculpting the puppet.
We made the puppet out of blue foam blocks which were attached to a laser cut outlines that we were able to cut around and then attached together to form the puppets body.
We could then cover the body in a plaster and paint it white so it had a blank canvas for us to work with.
